A warm, sunny day, +25° C. Went to Vityazevo.
Met several Calomera littoralis tiger beetles on the paths:
Quite a few of these Tentyria sp. darkling beetles were crossing my path too. Could be either T. nomas or T. taurica, or both (I kept several specimens to have a look later):
Went to Anapa in North-Western Caucasus, on the Black Sea coast of Russia for a couple of weeks.
Catching nice moths here, will make a post on light trap catches later.
Today went to the village of Vityazevo, NW of Anapa, there is a coastal salt-lake (“liman”), which has partially dried out by now and is covered with saltmarsh vegetation.
A hot, sunny day, +31° C. Lots of insects around!
