A warm, but not particularly sunny day, +26° C. Been to Epsom.
There was horse racing at Epsom Downs today, therefore lots of dressed-up people and shitloads of cops around the station.
Plenty of insects around — but nothing interesting, really.

A mostly cloudy, hot day, +28° C. Wanted to go to Horsley, but there’s an industrial action on the railway this weekend, and the only train I could catch was to Epsom.
Anasimyia lineata are still there, nectaring on Mugwort, of all things!
Upd: As Roger Morris pointed out, it is in fact Anasimyia contracta/transfuga. A faint “waist” as well as waterside habitat suggest the former:
