Pyrausta nigrata was common on the downland, but very wary and hard to shoot:

Silver-spotted Skippers (Hesperia comma) are quite numerous, but very locally:
Fresh second brood Adonis Blues (Lysandra bellargus), however, are ubiquitous on downland slopes, and are currently the commonest species of Blue there:
Been to Box Hill today, the weather is brilliant! Warm but not too hot, quite sunny and no wind.
Adonis Blues (Lysandra bellargus) aren’t particularly common. Saw several males and this female as it was choosing a place for a night’s roost:
Seen quite a few Bee Orchids (Orchis apifera). They are doing well, apparently:
